FISHING TRIPS

Half or Full Day

Modou Barry also organises fishing trips with a difference. You will meet The Gambia’s very own “Kingfisher,” a man born into a tribe of fishermen who has spent all his life fishing in The Gambian Bolong, where he now earns his living as a river host.

You will have the opportunity to catch Ladyfish, Barracuda, Captain fish and Frog fish, to name but a few. The boats we use are all certificated by the Gambian Ports Authority and your safety is our number one concern, with each boat equipped with lifejackets.

Even if you are not an experienced fisherman – or woman – we can promise you a wonderful experience. Who knows, your catch may encourage you to take up a brand-new hobby!

Our half or full day creek fishing trips are aboard an African Pirogue – a great way to relax and enjoy the scenery and activity around the creeks, while catching your fish.

Half-day trips may be either morning or afternoon, while full-day guests are on board from 10am to 4pm. We will pick you up from your hotel at 9.30am and the drive to Denton Bridge takes approx 25 minutes.

You will need to take your own picnic lunch with you for the half-day cruise, though we provide cool boxes with ice available onboard to store your food.
